The Dave Banks Big Band- This powerhouse 17 piece swinging big band is
based out of Akron, Ohio and is led by
Ohio native and 20 year Las Vegas
veteran trumpet artist, Dave Banks. The band boasts of having the very top
players
in the Northeast Ohio area including trumpeters Jack Schantz and Joe
Miller, saxophonists Don Turoso, Bob Esterle and Dave
Kana, trombonists Chas Baker and Garney Hicks, pianist Dan Murphy and drummer Mark Gonder. Dave fronts the band with
his soaring trumpet and also shares the vocal duties with talented jazz singer, Marsha Newman. This band will definitely make
your event sparkle. Their
repertoire ranges from original compositions to standard big band favorites.
The music from
many current top exciting arrangers is featured. They have played to packed houses at the Cleveland Bop Stop, Carousel
Dinner Theatre, and The Tangier Ballroom. They will travel the United States, Canada and Europe and are available for Cruise
Ship bookings.

DBBB finally has a "Home" appearance!
Start making plans for June 28, 2009 as Dave and the band actually
have as close to a "home" appearance as possible when they perform as the finale to the Holy Family Catholic Church Summerfest
2009. The band will play from 2:30-4:30pm and there will be all sorts of fun for the entire family. The summerfest 2009 kicks
off on Friday evening with the groups Instant Replay and Legends. Legends returns Saturday night. There's a classic car show,
50/50 raffles and more. Hope to see you there!
